YOU ARE READY FOR YOUR NEW AND BEAUTIFUL LIPS

THE HEALING PROCESS

Taking care of your new lips after lip treatment is extremely important to how your lips will look after they are fully healed and the longevity of your lip blush treatment.

We created a masterpiece fused with your own natural beauty, as they were trained to do, but taking care of it afterwards is your responsibility so we highly recommend to follow these aftercare instructions methodically:

LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Day 1

Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color as well

For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean paper towel, to remove any lymph. After 4 hours start applying ointment as needed to keep lips constantly moist

No kissing, rubbing or friction on treatment area

Day 1-3

Apply ointment on lips several times a day, keep lips moist at all times. Avoid oily, spicy and heavy seasoned food and drink with a straw. After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water then pat dry and re-apply ointment.

Days 4-7

At this stage lips will start peeling and be completely done peeling, color will lighten by 30%-50%. Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping lips moist!

WEEK 2

Lips are done peeling, color is light.  Client may return to normal routines. Lips will continue to heal, up to 6 weeks. Every week more color will surface, it is important to continue keeping lip moist to get the best color at the end of healing phase.

WEEK 6-8

Your lips are healed and you're feeling unstoppable!!! Just add some lip gloss and go! In most cases it requires two treatments to complete the lip transformation.

MAINTAINING YOUR LIP BLUSH

Lip blush takes two appointments to complete and for that reason your 6-8 weeks touchup appointment is complementary. After the complementary appointment we recommend a touchup between 2-3 years to maintain the the look of your lip blush. However, we do offer different touchup schedules because everyone experience the fading process differently and may need to get a touchup sooner than recommended.

* All touchup prices are determined by calculating the time since your last paid appointment (which included any paid touchup appointment)

Aftercare

Lash Extensions

  • Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first two days or at least 36 hours.

  • Do not use a spa, sauna or pool for the first two days. The extensions need that amount of time to properly bond.

  • Avoid pulling or rubbing your eyes.

  • Do not use eyelash curlers with your extensions. With proper application you will not need them.

  • ONLY use oil-free makeup remover.

  • Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean by regular washing with lash shampoo.

  • Use only mascaras that are safe for eyelash extensions, no oil-based or waterproof mascaras.

  • After showering avoid rubbing lashes, it best to blot them with a towel and let them air dry.

  • You can also dry the lashes by using a hair dryer on the cool setting and blowing them dry from the bottom up. It makes them curlier and fluffy.

  • It helps to sleep on your back to protect your lashes.

  • Use care when applying facial and eye creams to avoid the lash line. Too many oil-based products can break down the adhesive.

  • Lash&Brow recommends touch-up appointments every two to three weeks to maintain your new eyelash extensions.

Microblading Aftercare

  1. No water on the treated area for a minimum of 2 days (at least 24 hours). Advised not to wash your for 24hrs to avoid getting water into eyebrow treated area. After 2 days, you can shower and use a gentle anti-bacterial soap (afterwards pat dry)

  2. Wash/Makeup around the area.

  3. Apply 3-5 times a day a small amount of grapeseed oil or Aquaphor with Q-Tips (no fingers) then pat off with a clean tissue so skin can breathe but is protected from germs. Apply an extra coat when itchy or flaky as needed.

  4. Avoid strenuous activity for 5 days to avoid sweat getting into treated area.

  5. Do not use any cosmetics over area while healing approx. 7 to 10 days.

  6. Do not scrub, pick, wipe, scratch, or cleanse the area. Use patting motion only, allow the scab to flake off naturally. Do not peel or pick at scab, this could cause pigment loss, scarring and delayed healing. Keep area clean.

  7. Do not swim in fresh, slat chlorinated water for 2 weeks. Warning: Chlorine, exfoliation creams, and exposure to sun will cause color to fade.

  8. Restrictions on pet exposure and gardening for 3 to 7 days.

  9. Do not expose to sun or tanning bed during healing period.

  10. As the healing progresses, color will soften to its true color. We recommend lightly rinsing your face and shower with low pressure water.

  11. Use of sunblock after healing will help premature fading.

  12. If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected.

  13. After they peeled, you’re back to normal. No scrubbing or exfoliating.

  14. After 5 weeks you are ready for the 2nd session, we will then see how much ink you retained, color and density of strokes. It’s a perfecting session. You may add shading too if you like.
